The perfect ending to an incredible short-term mission is a worship service on the beach and a baptism in the ocean!
After filling our bellies with breakfast burritos we all gathered on the beach Sunday morning and were treated by a wonderful group of teens who led us in worship. Next, Jason Law from 1Mission gave us a ministry update and thanked us for our partnership. This was followed by a passionate message about the healing touch of Jesus that is available to us all by local pastor Carlos Adame. Last but definitely not least, we celebrated our time together with a baptism in the ocean!
We are so grateful to God for his blessings on this year’s Rocky Point mission. He blessed us with perfect weather, protection, and new friendships with six wonderful Mexican families and many women and children from the barrios where we were working. He blessed our fellowship with one another. He spoke to our hearts about many things. May we all carry this passion for serving our neighbors back to Tucson and make it our regular lifestyle!
